Discovered in 1820, the colossal Statue of Ramses II carved around 1200 BC greets visitors to the Grand Egyptian Museum. The red granite statue of the Pharaoh, ancient Egypt?s greatest warrior king, weighs about 125 tons and is 36 ft high.
